Each day September 28th through October 2nd, you can visit CHC’s website at www.chcaddiction.org or Facebook page at www.facebook.com/CHCAkron and watch a 20 minute video featuring CHC program updates, client success stories, fitness challenges and winners, and information on our community partners.  Watch our Grand Finale on Facebook LIVE on Friday October 2nd.   You can follow us on Facebook and show us what recovery means to you by posting your number of walk steps, fitness challenge results, and team celebration pictures.

Funds raised from this event will support CHC’s Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) program.  Patients in MAT receive both medication and counseling services as a part of their treatment. MAT is a highly effective, evidence-based practice in which medication stabilizes brain function and allows the patient to return to optimal functioning. MAT allows a patient to focus on recovery, obtain or maintain employment, be a more effective parent, and significantly reduce the health, legal and emotional consequences of addiction. Counseling programs include individual and group counseling, case management, relapse prevention education, parenting classes, and educational/vocational assistance. Multiple levels of care are available to fulfill the needs of each patient’s individualized plan.

At CHC Addiction Services, we’re with you every step of the way.  We hope you will join us for our Virtual Walk for Recovery and make your virtual steps count!
