CHC Addiction Services is pleased to announce Christopher Richardson, M.Ed., LICDC-CS as their new Chief Operating Officer. As COO, Mr. Richardson will supervise the operations of CHC, which serves over 5,000 patients annually through a wide range of outpatient substance use disorder treatment options as well as residential, partial hospitalization and recovery housing programs.

Mr. Richardson most recently served as CEO of AxessPointe Community Health Centers based in Akron, and has over 20 years of experience in the behavioral health field. “I have a passion for the work CHC does in this community, and I’m excited to join the team as we strive to provide the most comprehensive substance use disorder and mental health services in the area,” commented Richardson.

In addition to his professional experience, Mr. Richardson is a graduate of Leadership Akron Class 34 and Torchbearers Class 2011. He is a current board member of the Greater Akron Chamber of Commerce, Ardmore Inc., Akron Rotary, and serves as board chair of the American Heart Association of Summit & Portage Counties, among others. Mr. Richardson received his Masters of Education, Rehabilitation Counseling from Kent State University, where he also serves as an adjunct professor.
