Adolescent Treatment

CHC Addiction Services offers many options for adolescent treatment. This program centers around long-term abstinence.
Community-Based Treatment
This type of treatment is centered around the family dynamic. It takes into account how the family unit functions, as a whole. In this program, the counselor goes to the family’s residence or another location. This is often more successful for youth who may have difficulty finding transportation.
MAT (Medication-Assisted Treatment)
Medication assisted treatment is offered in our adolescent program. Similar to our Adult MAT program, medication and counseling are each an important component of this program. The Adolescent MAT program offers the Buprenorphine product Suboxone and oral naltrexone and intramuscular injection Vivitrol.
Outpatient Counseling
All adolescents in treatment have common issues that can be addressed in group. These treatment areas include: choices/consequences, social skills, copings skills and education about the effects of drug and alcohol abuse. Specialized groups are also offered to address gender-specific issues and co-occurring disorders, including mental health concerns.
Intensive Outpatient Counseling
This program is specifically for adolescents who need more intensive treatment. CHC provides an evidence-based program that includes group and individual counseling, educational information, urine drug screening, 12-step involvement and a comprehensive family component. IOP meets three evenings a week.
